Trade the Victoria Falls crowds for a guided Batoka Gorge hike with local guides such as Japhet or Ja. Expect steep, uneven ground, canyon views, and a possible river walk before a homegrown meal at Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm. Hotel pickup, drop-off, and water are included.

Hike from Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm in Chisuma Village toward Batoka Gorge, following waterfalls and glimpses of the Zambezi River. Guide JB keeps the group safe on the uneven track. Return to the farm for bottled water and a traditional Zimbabwean meal. The five-hour trip includes pickup and ends where it begins.

Start with a guided ground-level tour of Victoria Falls, then rappel 110 meters into Batoka Gorge. From below, cross by raft, hike around the basin, and swim beneath the spray. English guiding, hotel pickup, transfers, lunch, and light refreshments are included. Bring swimwear, sturdy shoes, a towel, and cash for park fees.
You’ll hike and climb through Batoka Gorge with an English-speaking guide, then settle beside the gorge for a home-cooked sunset dinner. Expect striking Zambezi views, a strenuous route, local dishes, Sadza, drinks, hotel transfers, and photos. Good shoes and fitness are essential.
